September 17th, Simon Boer Goats will be hosting an educational meat goat day in Hagerman, Idaho.
Evelyn received a grant from USDA to put on a goat meat educational/promotional event at her little farm. A local chef will prepare 4 goats (Boer wethers) in several different dishes, for the tasting.

Salt Lake County Fair August 11
Jr Market and Breeding Doe Show
Check in is at 9:00 with the show starting at 10:00 am. The order of the show is market animals, showmanship and breeding stock does. The show is open to all youth in the 4H and FFA age ranges (8 to 18). There is an entry fee of $10 per animal which will be jackpotted. The Fair Grounds are located at 2200 West 11400 South in South Jordan. Stalls are available and we are looking forward to a great show. Animals can be released right after the show so you don't need to stay for the whole Fair. For more information check the Salt Lake County Fair Website under the 4H Exhibitor Handbook. Everyone is welcome.
