Meat Goat Association
The Mountain States Meat Goat Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of meat goats in the intermountain west and its surrounding neighboring areas.
We offer family oriented activities, assistance in the marketing of meat goats, informational and educational seminars and show opportunities for breeders.
We now also offer our members an interactive website put together by our members for our members. Our new website will be used to enhance our abilities to meet all our member needs from the large commercial goat ranchers to the little goat hobbyist members. We encourage all members to join in and participate in our website. Links are available on pages where members can e-mail in their stories, experiences and photos to share with the association. We want to hear your ideas and thoughts.

* To operate as a non-profit organization to promote and expand knowledge and the marketing of meat goats in the mountain states area.
* To engage in any and all activities and pursuits in the development of better and improved agricultural products; specifically meat goat products, through a system of awards, using income from entry fees, dues and donations to meet the necessary expenses of upkeep and operation.
*To promote various agricultural activities among members and the public, through the exhibition of meat goats, seminars on meat goats, guarding the purity of meat goats,encouraging improvements in the production of meat goats, working with members on arranging and pooling their resources and goats for shipment and negotiating with processors for the best prices to be paid to the members for their product.

About Our Members
The MSMGA welcomes, includes and involves members in all aspects of breeding, raising, showing and selling of meat goats.
Our members are made up of a diverse group of goat enthusiast which include and are not limited to large commercial goat ranchers, seed stock producers, wether producers; both for show and for market, junior & 4h members, goat hobbyist on down to members with just a pet goat or two.
Our members are also diverse in the many goat associations they belong to some of which include the AGF, IBGA, ABGA, IKGA, USBGA, AMGA along with many smaller organizations.
While our members vary in their operations, market niches and even breeds of meat goats they all share and work towards the same goal, the promotion of meat goats in the United States.
